Welcome to Zumbro Valley Chorus in Rochester, MN, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. Sweet Adelines is the largest women's singing organization in the world with over 27,000 members globally. We are a women's a cappella chorus whose mission is to share our love of singing four-part barbershop harmony while providing friendship, music education, and performance opportunities for our members and the community.
We are not a traditional choir that sings classical music. We sing classic jazz and popular tunes from the 1930's to today's modern tunes. We focus on the enterainment factor in all our performances including costuming, choreography, musical commentary and props in our performance packages. Our performances are fun and entertaining.
We perform frequently in the Rochester area at schools, community events, private parties and events. We also put on a yearly show for the community. Contact our event coordinator to hire us for your next event 507-285-9915.
We are looking for talented singers to join us. We are interested in singers from all types of backgrounds who are looking to learn a new style of singing, improve their singing and performing skills and most of all - enjoy singing and performing.
Our rehearsal are open and we encourage you to visit and see what we are all about. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:00PM at Trinity Luthern Church in downtown Rochester. Our director, Debbie Mason, and assistant director, Nancy Hayden, will be happy to help you find a part that is perfect for you!
