On May 31st in 1966, they received their Charter to become Zumbro Valley Chapter of Sweet Adelines International. They started out with 22 members directed by
Richard (Dick) Hedglin. Over the 53 years we have had only 14 directors.
Early on the chorus performed on the TV Cancer Telethon, many nursing homes and banquets.
They also raised money for music and costumes by having garage sales, bake sales and car washes.
They also put on many shows.
